Biography:
Prof. Minliang Lai was born (1991) in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. He received his B.Sc. in Materials Physics 2014 at University of Science and Technology of China. Then he obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Peidong Yang at University of California, Berkeley. During 2019-2022, he was a postdoctoral fellow working with Prof. Chad A. Mirkin at Northwestern University. Since January 2023, Dr. Lai has been working as a professor at University of Science and Technology of China, Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research. His research group focuses on the design and synthesis of emerging semiconductor materials, and their optical, electrical and optoelectronic applications, particularly discovering new materials for smart photovoltaics, nanoscale light emitter, and data storage.
