Research Prof. Xie Xike, born in Datong of Shanxi Province, is a doctoral supervisor. He is a member of Technical Committee of Database of China Computer Federation (CCF) and a member of CCF Task Force on Big Data. He obtained his B.S and M.S. degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He had been an assistant professor at Aalborg University, Denmark, and returned to work in China as an overseas talent in 2016. He has published about 50 papers in international academic journals and conferences in the field of data management, including more than 20 papers recommended by CCF as Class A. He has served as a reviewer for many top journals and conferences in the field of big data management (including TODS, VLDBJ, TKDE, SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE, etc.), and has served as Program Committee Chairs, Presentation Chairs, Panel Session Chairs, and Program Committee Members for more than 20 important international conferences (including PVLDB, SIGIR, CIKM, DASFAA). He has chaired the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. He has cochaired the EU’s Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate Fellowship.
