Huang Liusheng, born in April 1957, is a professor and doctoral supervisor, and enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council. He was the Deputy Director of the National High Performance Computing Center (Hefei) of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, and the Deputy Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology. Now he is the Executive Vice President of the USTC Suzhou Institute, and member of the MOE Teaching Guidance Committee of Information Security. He is a member of the Standing Committee of the China Computer Federation (CCF) Technical Committee of Computer Science Education, member and founder of the CCF Technical Committee of Sensor Network, and member of the CCF Technical Committee on E-Government and Office Automation. He is the editorial board member of Journal of Computer Research and Development, Journal of Chinese Computer Systems, and Journal of University of Science and Technology of China. He also serves as the member of the USTC Academic Committee and Academic Degree Committee, etc. He served as the PC member, OC member, and chairman for more than 10 international academic conferences.
As the principal investigator or collaborator, he has undertaken more than 20 projects such as the 973 Program, 863 Program, and projects supported by NSFC, CAS, and National Ministries and Commissions. He has won the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, the second prize of National Teaching Achievement, and the first, second and third prizes of Ministerial and Provincial-Level Sci-Tech Progress Awards of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the army and others. He has published 6 books and over 200 papers in many first-class journals such as ACM Computing Surveys, IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communications, IEEE Trans. on Service Computing, IEEE Trans. on Vehicular Technology, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, Theoretical Computer Science, Optics Communications, Quantum Information Processing, Int’l J. of Modern Physics, Science China, and important conference such as Mobicom, Infocom, Sensys, and ICNP. Among them, more than 180 papers were included by SCI/EI, and many papers won the Best Paper Awards of important academic conferences at home and abroad.
