On November 29, an international cooperation seminar between Suzhou Institute of Advanced Research (SIAR) and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) was held and attended by Ren Wancheng, Vice Minister of KAIST International Cooperation Office; his assistant Scott G. Knowles; Xiong Shuping, Associate Vice President of International Engagement at KAIST; Han Youngnam, Professor of Electrical Engineering College; SIAR Vice Dean Ni Rui; Zhou Shaohua, Executive Dean of USTC's School of Biomedical Engineering. The meeting was chaired by Du Xiaojing, General Manager of China-Korea Industrial Technology Innovation Institute.
Both introduced the discipline construction, personnel training, scientific research and international cooperation of their respective schools.
A rough talent training mode was also discussed, hoping to make use of their advantages in resources to realize a win-win result of discipline development and talent training.
