On July 4, Professor Dayong Jin, Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE) Fellow and Professor at University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), Professor Alaina Jean Ammit, Associate Dean in the Faculty of Science, UTS, and their delegation visited SIAR. Tu Jing, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of SIAR, Li Jun, Director of the Scientific Research Department, and Prof. Zhang Zhen and Ye Haihang attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xu Xiaorong, Director of the Human Resources Department of SIAR.

Professor Alaina Jean Ammit, on behalf of the Faculty of Science at UTS, expressed her gratitude to Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research for the reception. She introduced the subject development, college settings, and scientific research cooperation of UTS. She also expressed the hope to promote the friendship and further cooperation in scientific research and talent training between the two universities.


Tu Jing extended a warm welcome to the UTS delegation. He said that SIAR is seeking international academic exchanges and talent training. He believed that through this exchange, the two parties can find common ground to build connectivity and friendship. Xu Xiaorong introduced the history, discipline, talent training, and research achievements of the University of Science and Technology of China and Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research.


Associate Professor Zhou Jiajia, Assistant Professor Lin Gungun, and Assistant Professor Wen Shihui of the University of Technology, Sydney, and Researcher Yang Liang, Hu Xianglong, Ye Haihang, Professor Zhang Zhen, Researcher Su Yude, and Researcher Lai Minliang of Suzhou Institute of Advanced Research shared their research results.

The two parties had in-depth communication and aligned their goals to cooperate in the fields of biomedical engineering, advanced materials and other disciplines. They also discussed cooperation on specific topics, laying solid foundation for future cooperation.
