On November 16, Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research (SIAR) from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) held the Career Talk and Job Fair both online and offline. Present were Chen Miao, member of the Party Working Committee of Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone (DLSEIZ) of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of DLSEIZ of SIP and Ni Rui, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of USTC and Vice Director of SIAR. The job fair was joined by companies including iFLYTEK, ZTE and Huawei. More than 300 students attended with over 1000 views on livestreaming.

At 9 a.m., the event kicked off. Chen Miao delivered a speech on behalf of DLSEIZ, where he pointed out that the zone will escort young talents in their academic journey and help students grow into outstanding talents with innovation, global vision and practical skills and hoped that students can take root in the zone, stimulate industrial vitality, and inject continuous innovation power for the high-quality development of the zone.

Ni Rui, on behalf of SIAR, expressed gratitude to DLSEIZ and SIP for their support and introduced the development and plans of SIAR. He said that USTCers have been consistently praised by the employers for their excellence, solid knowledge and hard work and expressed thanks to companies present at the event.

Huang Zhixi from Personnel Division of SIP gave a special lecture on employment policy of the park by introducing in detail the talent support plan and related policies in employment, entrepreneurship and life of the Park to encourage students to find employment and development in the park.

Followed were recruitment talks by companies including iFLYTEK, Oxford Suzhou Centre for Advanced Research and AISPEECH.

The job fair continued at 2:00 p.m. with representatives from ZTE, North Automation Control Institute of NORINCO GROUP and Huawei Suzhou Research Institute introducing their organizations.

The fair ended successfully with the interaction between students and enterprises.
